Be a Mentor!

HPNC welcomes youth who are interested in academic support and a safe place to engage in creative activities, learn important life skills, and play an array of sports. The teen years can be challenging, exciting, productive, and complicated. To overcome communication obstacles, our program offers opportunities for creative expression through fine art, drama, poetry, photography, film making, and more.

To develop into responsible members of society, we nurture students’ social, emotional, and educational needs through life-skills workshops, empathy and understanding classes, and inter generational programming. We use sports as a way of instilling skills such as teamwork, fairness, responsible conflict resolution, and organization.

Our staff and volunteer mentors encourage students to explore their interests, talents, and goals to see what life can bring after graduation. High school students have the opportunities to complete community service hours and expand their social horizons.
