Volunteer and make a difference
We depend on volunteers to make a difference in the lives of the youth we serve. There are many avenues to explore – depending on your expertise, interests, or schedule. If you are interested in volunteering at HPNC, please e-mail us at info@hpnclub.org with a brief introduction that includes your contact info, interests, and availability. One of our staff members will follow up with you soon.
You can get started by filling out our Volunteer Application and e-mailing it to us or bringing it in when you come to visit.
Mentoring
One-on-One mentoring for middle- to high- school students through Match-Up! Mentoring.

Tutoring
Volunteers provide literacy assistance and homework help. There are opportunities for one-on-one and group tutoring.
Other
- Early Childhood: Help in the Resource Center, lend a helping hand preparing for, during, or cleaning up after Messy Art, help with one of our many special events, such as HPNC’s Valentiny party, Halloweenie party, or one of our summer picnics.
- Elementary, Middle, and High School Programs: We are always interested in talking with volunteers who wish to share their specific experience or interests through new classes or workshops! Volunteers have introduced our youth to improvisational comedy, archery, gardening, composting, and more.
- Green Spaces: Want to plan, plant, and produce? We have a big “backyard” garden and lots of perimeter areas that are in need of tender loving care. We would particularly love experienced help with our after-school program’s vegetable garden – but all help is welcome.
- Events & Admin: Are you a behind-the-scenes person? Events such as Pancake Breakfast and our annual gala require lots of volunteers to make them successful fundraisers. There are always ongoing office projects that need a helping hand as well.
